Addison Sondberg
Recruit Profile
POSITIVITY ALWAYS! (Passionate, eager to learn, aggressive, accountability, vocal, game smart) Ive been told I am VERY coachable, like a sponge if you will.
Started playing in 6th grade, but started club in 8th grade. Always a defensive player. Enjoy pulling the girls together with positive vocals.
I was libero on varsity my sophomore year, finishing with 143 digs.
I also play shortstop on my high school and town travel team.
My Junior year was very tough, I was totally remote learning. We were able to have a spring schedule, but was very limited due to covid 19. We played 9 in season games and 2 state matches giving me 52 digs.
So far my senior year we won our conference and my career totals: 402 digs, 38 assists, 86 service points, 51 aces.

The best way to describe Addie is "All in"... she has such a strong passion and love for the game. So much so that she even works at our club facility and helps any way she can when she's not playing. Aside from that, the kid can flat out play. She's invested in every point. She's invested in her teammates. She's invested in growing as a volleyball player in any way she can. Addie was my nomination for our club's player of the year (all age groups). It may be best to share my nomination: "I’d like to nominate Addie Sondberg. Addie has been our rock on defense all season long. Not only that, but her serve was a weapon to provide instant offense when a spark was needed. From day 1 Addie has been extremely coachable and eager to learn more about the game she loves. As a coach I admire her “hate to lose” mentality on the court. This girl fights for her teammates and just flat out loves to compete."

Addie is the kind of kid every coach dreams of having on their team. Whether it's a practice, a tournament, or a pick-up game, her love for the sport of volleyball is evident as her energy and enthusiasm are infectious to those around her. She consistently shows up with a winning attitude and a readiness to learn and compete, and above all, she goes out of her way to be involved in other aspects by coaching youth clinics and leagues. She is a kind, hard working, dedicated young lady who will give her all every time she steps on the court.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Addie for over three years. She is a wonderful athlete and even better person. Her attitude is infectious as she is always upbeat & wanting the best from herself and her teammates. On the court she is aggressive, determined and her technique is very sound. She has a very high volleyball IQ and you see this in her decision making. Off the court, she is a leader at Eastern Volleyball Academy & has coached our younger teams and clinics. She is selfless and gives back to this great sport!

Addison is a talented libero/DS who is also a great teammate. She has played high school and club for several seasons. Addie has a great attitude, and approaches every situation with confidence. I trust her on and off the court to make good decisions, and to fight through adversity.
