Harry Bitzberger is in his third year with Eastern Women's Volleyball.

Bitzberger brings over 25 years of coaching experience to the Eastern staff and has gained a reputation as a knowledgeable coach committed to Eastern Women's Volleyball's Core Covenants, Love the Game & Love Each Other.

Harry’s first exposure to the game came on the beach while stationed at Vanderberg AFB, California and in the indoor game while serving at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas in the mid 80’s.

After completing his service requirement and earning his Masters degree, Captain Bitzberger entered the Healthcare field and became a volunteer coach at various stops across the country before moving back to Pennsylvania becoming coach and Director of Volleyball at Nativity (Media, Pa.) & St. Max (West Chester, Pa.) CYO.

As head coach of West Chester Rustin High School from 2016-2021, Harry built a successful program both on and off the court. In his five seasons, the program posted a record of 84-32, boasted three consecutive best seasons ever, won the American Conference Championship in 2017 and 2018 and in 2018, qualified for the program’s first ever Pennsylvania State Tournament appearance.

Harry is currently the West Division Director of East Coast Power and has coached club volleyball in the Philadelphia area since 2012. He has been very active in USA Volleyball’s CAP program, Gold Medal Squared Continuing Education Workshops and Clinics since 2015 and is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
