Lindsey Hannel

Lindsey Hannel joined the Utica College volleyball program in the summer of 2021 as an athletic assistant.

Hannel will assist head coach Josh Higby with all facets of the program including recruiting, practice and game preparation, along with day-to-day operations in the office.

Hannel enjoyed four seasons (2016-19) with the UC volleyball program as a middle hitter/right setter. In her first season, Hannel played in 64 sets and 32 matches while tallying 29 kills, 14 assists and two service aces.

In 2017, Hannel finished with 23 kills, four assists and one service ace while appearing in 51 sets and 23 matches. The following season she set career highs with 66 sets played and 30 kills while appearing in each of the team’s 27 matches.

During her senior season, Hannel broke her previous career high set in 2018 by finishing with 50 kills over 58 sets played. Defensively, Hannel concluded her career with 67 digs, 58 triple blocks, 44 block assists and 14 solo blocks.

She graduated from UC in the spring of 2020 with a degree in Child Life Psychology. Originally from Victor, N.Y., Hannel attended Victor High School prior to Utica College.

She currently resides in Utica and will be pursuing her master’s degree at UC.
