Madison Heagney
Recruit Profile
Analytical and hard-working team player with strong classroom and court IQ -. Setter and OPP (DS experience). Currently a youth volunteer volleyball coach for 6th-8th grade.
** Began playing volleyball when we moved from Austin TX to Fort Collins CO. I took to the sport right away, went to camps at NORCO, then played with LVA. When we returned home to Corvallis OR, I played club with DSK in Corvallis and NPJ in Salem and worked into a Varsity spot at CVHS (starter for 3 years now).
2020 was my first summer to play beach volleyball with NPJ and I loved the competition. I have signed up to play beach volleyball with NPJ this summer 2021.
** I was nominated and made it on the "2018 FROSH 59! The Best Varsity-Playing Freshmen in America List", helped take my CVHS team to the playoffs in 2019 where we placed 4th in our league, where I received an "Honorable Mention in the Mid-Willamette Conference" in our 2019 season, and for the 2020 season (played in Spring 2021) I was given an honorable mention as a setter in the "Oregon high school volleyball: Top returning players, outlook for every 5A league"... and then recently listed on March 30, 2021 as "Oregon's top high school volleyball players: Meet the states best setters" in my Junior year at CVHS.
** I always like to "play up" and learn whatever I can. I made it on the NPJ 18 NATIONAL team this year as Setter, and really enjoyed my experience last year too with the NPJ 17 NATIONAL team where I played as a DS (also available as a Setter).
** 3.94 GPA in June 2021
** I am making bowls and coffee mugs to sell with my pottery wheel at home, cooking and baking, gardening, and working on a landscape mural that I am doing for Crossroads Church.
I am a youth VOLUNTEER COACH for 6th-8th grade volleyball at Albany Christian School
( https://www.albanychristian.org/volleyball.html ) and I SING on alternate Sundays with the worship band at Northside Church in Albany OR ( https://www.facebook.com/albanynorthside/ ).
** I took AP US History and Honors American Literature this year and learned a great deal. I am also enjoying my German 2 and Anatomy classes. I was invited last year to join NSHSS and explore their college and career resources, and this year the NHS at my high school asked me to join.
** Kinesiology and Sports Nutrition are my major/minor career fields
** I would consider playing overseas if an offer were made.

Madison has been a great asset to the Crescent Valley volleyball program. She earned a position on the varsity team as a freshman. She has set for the team for the 3 years she has been a member and received honorable mention recognition from the Mid-Willamette league, as a sophomore. Madison is a hard worker that is continually trying to become a better player. She plays year round and puts in time conditioning to remain strong and fit. She is a wonderful teammate, making sure that everyone feels like they belong and receive attention to promote confidence. I would recommend her as a member to any team at the next level, not only as a player but as a scholar.
